Alright Nawlins, it’s that time of year again. The weather’s nice and I’m in the mood to get tipsy on Busch tallboys($4.99 sixers at your area Circle K). Halloween weekend is a little more than two weeks away and we’re planning ahead of time, which a must this time of year with so much going on. SAT OCT 30 (DAY): VOODOO Day 2 @ City Park
Saturday at Voodoo means time to shake off my alcoholic stupor in time to start drinking again. Our friends ELECTROCITY are coming in from Memphis, don’t miss their set at 2:15. Boys Noize and Die Antwoord back to back? That’s cool. End day 2 popping bottles alone behind the porta-potties while listening to Drizzy. TIX | LINEUP

Hopefully between 7:30 and 10PM security will find me passed and throw me outside the gates with a couple slices of bread in time to catch the streetcar downtown to catch all of the sets from Swiss Chriss, Christoph Andersson, DS@STR, and Jim-E Stack who will all be spinning along with Boys Noize. Hopefully Swiss will hook me up with some Red Bull cuz I don’t think sleep will be factoring into the rest of my weekend. Why you say? 10PM | TIX | RSVP

SUN OCT 31: VOODOO Day 3 @ City Park
We’re wakin’ and bakin’ like it’s pancake sunday at church. CHRISTOPH ANDERSSON is on at 11:00AM on the Billboard Stage and SWISS CHRISS will follow directly at 12:15. We would really appreciate your support if you can get there for Chriss and Christoph! We’ll have free downloads, you’ll be the first to hear brand new material for our guys. I might survive until midway through Afrojack then I’ll probably pass out in a tree for a couple hours until TKVR alum BIG FREEDIA hits the stage w/ Katey Redd, Sissy Nobby and DJ Rusty Lazer. Then it’s time to grab some killer Cajun culinary samplings while I wander through the Deadmau5/MGMT overlap crowd. Look out for me, I’m the guy stepping on your blanket. I’ll finish out the night grooving to the impeccable soul and funk selections of NOLA’s own DJ SOUL SISTER. If you haven’t had the chance to see Soul Sister, please treat yourself.
